Who we are
The 80/90 Social Club is dedicated to rebuilding real-world connections across generations. We recognize that today’s youth often miss out on the outdoor play, face-to-face friendships, and lifelong bonds that Gen X grew up with, while our elders struggle to connect with younger generations preoccupied with screens and social media. Our mission is to bridge these gaps by bringing young and old together to learn from one another and revive the timeless values of community, friendship, and connection from the 80s and 90s.

80/90 Social Club Services
At the 80/90 Social Club, we offer intergenerational activities that encourage face-to-face connection and reduce reliance on technology. Our services include game nights with classics from the 80s and 90s, outdoor recreation days that bring back neighborhood play, and storytelling circles where elders and youth share wisdom and experiences. We also provide social skills workshops to help youth build confidence, tech-free social hours to encourage real conversations, and mentorship exchanges where elders teach life lessons while youth share technology skills. In addition, community service projects and cultural movie nights help strengthen bonds across generations while reviving the timeless values of the past.

The vision of 80/90 Social Club is a future where youth and young adults in both inner cities and rural communities are equipped with strong social and communication skills that empower them to thrive as productive, respectful, and compassionate citizens. We strive to create supportive, intergenerational communities where elders and young people connect meaningfully, sharing wisdom, values, and new skills—especially in the ever-evolving realm of technology. By fostering these bonds, we aim to build resilient, inclusive communities rooted in mutual respect, lifelong learning, and shared purpose.
